BearboatClassic Kayak Building Manual
Content Inside: This is the manual for the bearboat kayak design program. The latest
version of that program is called 020518 bearboat. This will likely
be the last update of this program. Henceforth, in the style of the
software industry, this version of bearboat will be called
bearboatClassic in preparation for an update.
I am planning to replace this program with a new version that will
be called bearboatPro. This is a total rewrite of the program but
retains the same â look and feelâ This new version is largely
compatible with bearboatClassic. You will be able to open your old
designs in this new program and save your new designs in a format
that will be compatible with the old version. I hope to have this
update available in the summer of 2002. The new program is built on
a more solid foundation that should make it easier for me to add
features as the program matures. BearboatClassic has become too
convoluted at the level of the raw code for me to add very much in
the way of new functionality. For a time, it may make sense to have
both programs available for use as I will not have ALL the features
of bearboatClassic enabled at the time of the initial release of
bearboatPro.
